Amps = A
Watts = W

(V)olt  X (A)mps = (W)atts
    V 12 x A 80 = W 960


AMPS = WATTS/12 (12 Volt DC system)
WATTS = AMPS x 110 (110 Volts AC is household current & used by appliance manufacturers to compute amps used by their devices)
